Picture hanging
Picture hanging
Picture hanging isn’t just as straightforward as banging a nail into a wall and hoping it will stay put. If your into triptics or collages or symmetrical arrangements of pictures then there’s usually a bit of maths involved and careful measuring. Not only that the weight of picture or mirror and the substrate it’s to be fixed to have a bearing on what type of fixing is required. Dry wall fixings, plug and screws or just plain old nails. Which is the right fixing to use? Also drill into the wrong area and you could puncture a pipe or worse drill through an electrical cable and get a nasty shock. Don’t risk making any costly mistakes, give me a call and I’ll be able to hang your mirror or picture correctly and be sure that the fixing will stay put for a very long time!
Time guide
Usually a picture takes approximately 15 minutes to plan, drill, plug, screw and hang. if you have a large weighty picture that you would like to fixed to a plasterboard wall then more time will be involved as careful planning is required prior to fixing.
